Piano Masterclass by Vassilis Tsabropoulos

Having been recognized as one of the greatest Greek pianists, Vassilis Tsabropoulos has been giving masterclasses for years at some of the world’s most prestigious music schools. His adeptness and communicative method of teaching makes his masterclasses efficient and informative for both audiences and participants.
Vassilis Tsabropoulos will give a piano masterclass on 11th and 12th of November 2016 in Athens, organized by the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of Athens.

The versatile virtuoso pianist has been regarded internationally by major press media, such as the London Times, the Le Monde, the Corriere della Serra, the Independent etc., for his effortless ability to explore both the piano classical performing, the orchestra conducting and the composing. Vassilis Tsabropoulos has taken the stage with Europe's several important orchestras including among others the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Stockholm Philharmonic, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic, Budapest Chamber Orchestrate, Sofia Philharmonic, Italy Radio Orchestra etc. His repertoire varies from Bach to Beethoven and Chopin to Prokoviev. As a pianist he is highly effective in Russian music, particularly in Rachmaninoff. He has made his first USA tour in October 2004 with a significant critical and popular success. He was also introduced in the international scene as a composer through his deeply imaginative and intellectual music for piano, recorded successfully since 2000 by the German label ECM records.

The Masterclass is open to professionals as well as talented musicians from around the world. The active participants will have the opportunity of one open lesson (45 minutes) with Vassilis Tsabropoulos and free entrance pass for both dates of the masterclass.
 
All the candidates’ participants are kindly requested to send the following, in order to be approved, after selection process:
