The historical Cathedral Church of Athens, after years of restoration work due to the extensive damage suffered by the devastating earthquakes of 1981 and 1999, opens its doors again. On the occasion of this historic event, the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of the internationally renowned pianist, composer and conductor, Vassilis Tsabropoulos and the soloists Vassilis Tsabropoulos and Nektaria Karantzi, will present a concert in the courtyard of the Metropolitan Church on Sunday, July 3, at 21:00, in the presence of His Eminence Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Ieronymos.

Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of Athens will present a special concert, on Thursday, 19 May, at 21:00, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, under the direction of Vassilis Tsabropoulos, The principal trumpet of the MSO of Athens, Dionysis Agalianos will perform the Haydn's Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major and the Orchestra will present the legendary Mozart's Symphony "Jupiter". Vassilis Tsabropoulos composes the original soundtrack for the "Greek Oscar" Ceremony, the Hellenic Film Academy Awards. The original soundtrack will be performed by himself on the piano and by Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of Athens, under the baton of the composer, on 28th of March, at the Onassis Cultural Center. Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of Athens, under the direction of Vassilis Tsabropoulos, will present a special concert, in which Dvorák's Slavic lyricism meets the romantic melancholy of Schubert. In the first part, the acclaimed soloist and principal cellist of MSO of Athens, Konstantinos Sfetsas will perform the legendary Cello Concerto in B minor of Dvorák, also known as the greatest and the "king" of the cello concertos.
